Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah64) {يَحْذَرُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ … :} Now the further despicable actions of the hypocrites are mentioned, and this continues for quite a while, which is why this surah is also called "Al-Fadihah," meaning the one that exposes the secrets of the hypocrites and disgraces them. Despite their outward display of faith, the hypocrites harbored disbelief in the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in their hearts. Some of them, even though they considered the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to be truthful, still harbored disbelief in him in their hearts due to stubbornness and prejudice; some were afflicted with doubt, and thus were devoid of faith; and those who truly considered him a liar had witnessed many times that whenever they did or said something of this nature, Allah would inform the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) through revelation. Therefore, because of their inner disbelief, they would sometimes express their inner malice among themselves, but at the same time, they remained fearful that a surah might be revealed which would expose their secrets and inner states before them and before the Muslims. In {’’ تُنَبِّئُهُمْ ‘‘}, the pronoun in {’’ هُمْ ‘‘} can refer to the hypocrites or to the believers. Allah Almighty said, "Go ahead and mock; that which you fear will surely be brought forth by Allah before everyone."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan.
