إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۚ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ ﴿116﴾
Verily, Allâh! Unto Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, He gives life and He causes death. And besides Allâh you have neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper.
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
لَهُۥ lahu to Him (belongs)
مُلْكُ mul'ku the dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti (of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ wal-arḍi and the earth
يُحْىِۦ yuḥ'yī He gives life
وَيُمِيتُ ۚ wayumītu and He causes death
وَمَا wamā And not
لَكُم lakum for you
مِّن min besides Allah
دُونِ dūni besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi besides Allah
مِن min any
وَلِىٍّۢ waliyyin protector
وَلَا walā and not
نَصِيرٍۢ naṣīrin any helper

(Ayah 116){ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ … : } The reason for complete heartfelt disassociation from the disbelievers in their lifetime and after their death has been stated: the Owner of the heavens and the earth is only Allah, the Giver of life and the Giver of death is only Allah, your Guardian, Inheritor, and the One who manages and takes care of all your affairs is only Allah, in times of difficulty and against the enemy your Helper is only Allah, besides Him you have neither any guardian nor any helper, so then what relation do you have with His enemy, what kind of friendship, and what kind of seeking forgiveness for him?
