Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 7,6){ اِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُوْدٌ …:} That is, sitting on the edge, they were watching them burn, and even after seeing them burning, no softness arose in their hearts. Such incidents are still happening today under the shadow of disbelieving powers; for example, in India, Burma, and Africa, news of Muslims being burned alive is coming continuously. Their end will also be like the companions of the trench. (InshaAllah) However, it is obligatory upon all Muslims in the world to save these oppressed Muslims from the tyranny and oppression of the disbelievers, and it is only due to negligence in fulfilling this obligation and abandoning jihad that the disbelievers have gained this audacity. Allah Almighty says: « وَ مَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَ النِّسَآءِ وَ الْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِيْنَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ اَهْلُهَا وَ اجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَّ اجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ نَصِيْرًا » [ النساء : ۷۵ ] "And what is [the matter] with you that you do not fight in the way of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, 'Our Lord, take us out of this city whose people are oppressors and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.'"

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. 1. The disbelieving king or his agents were sitting at the edge of the fire, watching the burning of the people of faith as a spectacle, as mentioned in the next verse.
