Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 22) {ثُمَّاِذَاشَآءَاَنْشَرَهٗ :} Seeing all these powers, does it not make sense to you that in this world, whatever a person does, he surely considers its outcome? So, did the Lord create such a vast system just so that someone would worship Him alone, someone else would forget His blessings and worship idols, and someone would commit oppression or be oppressed, and after death, all would become equal? That Allah would neither resurrect and question them, nor would anyone receive recompense for his deeds? No, even thinking this about Allah is disrespect and ingratitude for His blessings. In these verses, Allah has expressed displeasure at this disrespect by saying {’’ قُتِلَالْاِنْسَانُمَاۤاَكْفَرَهٗ ‘‘}, and in Surah Al-Mu’minun He said: « اَفَحَسِبْتُمْاَنَّمَاخَلَقْنٰكُمْعَبَثًاوَّاَنَّكُمْاِلَيْنَالَاتُرْجَعُوْنَ (115) فَتَعٰلَىاللّٰهُالْمَلِكُالْحَقُّلَاۤاِلٰهَاِلَّاهُوَرَبُّالْعَرْشِالْكَرِيْمِ»[ المؤمنون : ۱۱۵، ۱۱۶ ] “So did you think that We created you without purpose and that you would not be returned to Us? So exalted is Allah, the True King; there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Noble Throne.”

22. Then, when He wills, He will resurrect him [15].
[15] That is, just as man was helpless in the matter of his birth and death, in the same way he will also be helpless before Allah’s command regarding his resurrection. He was not asked at the time of his birth whether he wished to be born so that he could be created if he wanted, or not created if he did not. Nor was he asked at the time of death whether he wished to die so that he could be given death if he wanted, or allowed to remain alive if he did not. In the same way, at the time of being resurrected, he will not be asked anything. Whenever Allah wills, He will bring him back to life and make him stand.
