Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 20){ ثُمَّ السَّبِيْلَ يَسَّرَهٗ :} Then He made the way easy for him. There can be three meanings of this: First, that He made the way out of the mother's womb easy for him, otherwise he could not have come out from the confinement of those narrow bones and would have died there himself and also caused the death of the mother. Second, that whichever path of good or evil he wishes to follow, that is made easy for him. And third, that the recognition of the right path is made easy for him, by which he can believe in his Creator. All three meanings are correct, but in accordance with {’’ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ‘‘}, the first meaning is more correct. (Al-Tasheel)

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

20. 1. That is, the paths of good and evil have been made clear for him. Some say that this refers to the path of coming out from the mother's womb. But the first meaning is more correct.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

20. Then He made the way easy [13] for him.

[13] This verse has several meanings. One is that coming out of the mother's womb was made easy for him. When the development of the child in the mother's womb is complete, the mother becomes restless to deliver the child, and she does not find peace until she gives birth. Despite the narrowness of the passage, Allah creates such flexibility in it at the time of delivery that it becomes easy for the mother to give birth. The second meaning is that Allah granted him all such abilities and provided him with the capacity to use the resources and means available in the world to live his life. And the third is that Allah made him understand both the paths of good and evil. This distinction was placed in his nature. Then, through the Prophets and Messengers and the Books, everything was explained, and he was given the choice to adopt whichever path he wished. Then, whichever path he chooses, Allah makes that path easy for him and grants him Tawfiq (divine guidance and success) to follow it.
