مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ ﴿19﴾
From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him and then set him in due proportion.

19. 1. That is, the one whose creation is from such a humble drop of fluid, does arrogance befit him?

19. From a drop of fluid, Allah created him and then determined his destiny [12].

[12] If he were to reflect on what he was created from, in what place he was nurtured and transformed from a drop of fluid into a child, then in what state of helplessness he was brought out from his mother’s womb, he would never dare to confront his Creator or, after hearing His Word, deny it. Then, when he was being nurtured in his mother’s womb, his destiny was determined: how long his life would be, where he would die, and where he would be buried; whether he would remain poor or be prosperous; whether he would be granted faith or not; whether he would die in a state of disbelief or in a state of faith. All these details were determined in the mother’s womb, and before this decreed destiny, he is utterly powerless. Yet, despite all these things, he shows arrogance and disbelief in opposition to Allah.
