4. These are the true believers. For them are ranks with their Lord, forgiveness, and an honorable provision [7].

The Rank of True Believers:

Those believers in whom these five signs are found, Allah Almighty has declared them to be true and steadfast believers. For such believers, there will be high ranks with Allah Almighty, forgiveness, and honorable sustenance. Now, see that the three signs mentioned in the first verse are related to acts of the heart: that is, when the remembrance of Allah Almighty comes, their hearts tremble; their faith increases by the verses of Allah Almighty; and they place their trust in Allah Almighty. Prayer is a physical act of worship, and spending in the way of Allah is a financial act of worship. Now, some scholars have established this correlation: that in return for acts of the heart, there will be elevation in ranks; in return for physical acts of worship, there will be forgiveness; and in return for financial acts of worship, there will be honorable sustenance.
