Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 7,6) {يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ … :} In the lexicon: {’’رَجَفَ حَرَّكَ وَ تَحَرَّكَ وَ اضْطَرَبَ شَدِيْدًا‘‘} that is, the meaning of {’’رَجَفَ‘‘} is both to move violently and to cause to move. Here, "to cause to move" is more appropriate. By {’’ الرَّاجِفَةُ ‘‘} is meant the earthquake that will occur at the first blowing of the trumpet, by which everything will perish. By {’’ الرَّادِفَةُ ‘‘} is meant the earthquake that will occur at the second blowing, by which all people will come to life and rise anew from their graves. In Surah Az-Zumar (68), these two blowings are also mentioned.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. 1. This is the first blowing, which is called the blowing of annihilation, by which the entire universe will tremble and shake, and everything will perish.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. On the Day when the quaking one (the earth) will quake [6],

[6] After mentioning these five types of angels and their tasks, Allah Almighty established a proof upon the disbelievers of Makkah regarding the establishment of the Day of Resurrection: that the angels who extract your souls from every vein and cause you to face death, and who take your soul into their possession, can at any time return this soul into your body as well. It should be noted that the disbelievers of Makkah acknowledged the existence of angels and their deeds. Their fundamental error was that they considered the angels to be the daughters of Allah. Therefore, they also considered them partners with Allah in the management of the affairs of the universe, although they still regarded Allah as the ultimate authority. Whereas the reality is that angels are neither the daughters of Allah nor His partners; rather, they are Allah’s creation and His obedient servants, and they cannot disobey Allah’s command at all. In the management of affairs, they do not have even the slightest authority of their own.
