Conveying Allah’s Message to Pharaoh:

On this occasion, Musa (peace be upon him) also made this request that his brother Harun should be granted prophethood and sent along with him so that at least he would have one companion as his helper. Allah Almighty accepted the request of Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) and made Sayyiduna Harun a prophet and sent him with him, but at the same time emphasized that since Pharaoh is arrogant and haughty, whatever you have to say to him, say it in a very gentle tone. In this way, it is possible that he may become willing to listen to you, otherwise he will flare up in a fit of rage. Thus, Musa (peace be upon him) explained to him in a very gentle and appealing manner that is it possible for you to refrain from this attitude of arrogance and rebellion and become obedient to Allah? In this way, your worldly life will also be set right and your Hereafter as well, and the way to this is to accept my messengership. I will show you the straight path of your Lord. If you attain the correct recognition of your Lord, then its inevitable result will be that the fear and awe of Allah will be created in you, and whatever you do, you will do it fearing Allah, and this will be the best means of reforming your life.
