إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ ﴿7﴾
Surely, what you are promised must come to pass.
إِنَّمَا innamā Indeed, what
تُوعَدُونَ tūʿadūna you are promised
لَوَٰقِعٌۭ lawāqiʿun will surely occur

7. Surely, what you are promised [4] will certainly come to pass.

[4] After swearing by these five things and presenting them as testimony, it is said that the Lord who can use something of utmost necessity to you for such purposes, He can also make them a cause of your destruction. He can bring you comfort through a mere wind, and He can also bring you distress. Is He not capable of bringing into existence and manifesting the reward and punishment that has been promised to you?
