Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. Either as an excuse or as a warning [3].

[3] ﴿عُذْرًا اَوْ نُذْرًا﴾ is related only to the previous verse. That is, one benefit of revelation in the heart of the prophet or inspiration and suggestion in the hearts of people is that they will have no excuse left before Allah for their misguidance, and the proof will be completed against them, so that at the time of punishment they cannot say that they had not been informed beforehand. And the second benefit is only for those who fear Allah without seeing Him and, fearing their bad end, become obedient to Allah.
