وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ ﴿36﴾
And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse.

36. Nor will they be permitted to offer any excuse [22].

[22] This will be the time when the cases of people will have been decided in Allah’s court, and the limbs and organs of the wrongdoers will have testified against them, declaring them liars. After all the requirements of justice have been fully met, the criminals will not be allowed to say anything further in their defense, nor will there remain any opportunity to present an excuse at that time.
