وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا ﴿20﴾

And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion.

(Ayah 20) {وَ اِذَا رَاَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَاَيْتَ نَعِيْمًا وَّ مُلْكًا كَبِيْرًا:} And what will be the state of the blessing? Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلٰی صُوْرَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ، وَالَّذِيْنَ عَلٰی إِثْرِهِمْ كَأَشَدِّ كَوْكَبٍ إِضَاءَةً، قُلُوْبُهُمْ عَلٰی قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ وَّاحِدٍ، لاَ اخْتِلاَفَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَلاَ تَبَاغُضَ، لِكُلِّ امْرِءٍ مِّنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ ، كُلُّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُمَا يُرٰی مُخُّ سَاقِهَا مِنْ وَّرَاءِ لَحْمِهَا مِنَ الْحُسْنِ، يُسَبِّحُوْنَ اللّٰهَ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا، لاَ يَسْقَمُوْنَ وَلاَ يَمْتَخِطُوْنَ، وَلاَ يَبْصُقُوْنَ، آنِيَتُهُمُ الذَّهَبُ وَالْفِضَّةُ، وَأَمْشَاطُهُمُ الذَّهَبُ، وَ وَقُوْدُ مَجَامِرِهِمُ الْأُلُوَّةُ قَالَ أَبُو الْيَمَانِ يَعْنِی الْعُوْدَ وَ رَشْحُهُمُ الْمِسْكُ ] [بخاري، بدء الخلق، باب ما جاء في صفۃ الجنۃ… : ۳۲۴۶ ] “The first group of people who will enter Paradise will be like the moon on the night when it is full. Those who will enter after them will shine like the brightest star. Their hearts will be like the heart of a single man; there will be no differences among them nor any hatred. Each man among them will have two wives, and because of their beauty, the marrow of their shins will be visible from behind the flesh. They will glorify Allah morning and evening. They will neither fall ill, nor blow their noses, nor spit. Their utensils will be of gold and silver, their combs will be of gold, their incense burners will be fueled with {’’أُلُوَّه‘‘} (a fragrant wood, oud), and their sweat will be musk.”

In the hadith narrated from Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) described the state of the last person to come out of Hell and enter Paradise, saying that Allah will say to him: [ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مِثْلَ الدُّنْيَا وَعَشَرَةَ أَمْثَالِهَا ] [ مسلم، الإیمان، باب آخر أھل النار خروجا : ۱۸۶ ] “You are given the world and ten times as much as the world.” When this is the state of the kingdom and dominion of the last person to enter Paradise, then what can be said about the magnificent dominion of the others?

Then there will be meetings with friends, the coming and going of angels, greetings of peace, and Allah Almighty speaking to the people of Paradise, greeting them with peace, and granting them His vision—these are further blessings. In short, Paradise contains such blessings as no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever conceived. May Allah Almighty, by His grace and mercy, include us among the people of Paradise. (Ameen)

20. And wherever you look, you will see blessings upon blessings and a vast kingdom [23].

[23] That is, even the lowest-ranking inhabitant of Paradise, the place he will be given to reside in Paradise will seem as if it is the kingdom of a great king, in which the highest of blessings will be present everywhere.
