(Ayah 23,22) {وُجُوْهٌيَّوْمَىِٕذٍنَّاضِرَةٌ …:’’ نَاضِرَةٌ ‘‘’’ نَضَرَالْوَجْهُوَالشَّجَرُوَاللَّوْنُ ‘‘} (ن،ک،س) The face or a tree or a color being fresh, beautiful, and radiant. It is understood that on the Day of Resurrection, the righteous servants will be granted the vision of Allah Almighty, and in this happiness, their faces will be fresh and shining. Among Allah Almighty’s creation, whether humans or animals, plants or inanimate objects, there is such beauty and elegance that seeing it brings freshness and radiance to faces out of joy. When they will see the Being who is the Creator of beauty and elegance, then what limit can there be to their happiness and the freshness of their faces!! The reality is that the greatest blessing of Paradise will be that the dwellers of Paradise will see their Lord Almighty with their own eyes. It is narrated from Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ إِذَادَخَلَأَهْلُالْجَنَّةِالْجَنَّةَقَالَيَقُوْلُاللّٰهُتَبَارَكَوَتَعَالٰیتُرِيْدُوْنَشَيْئًاأَزِيْدُكُمْ؟فَيَقُوْلُوْنَأَلَمْتُبَيِّضْوُجُوْهَنَا؟أَلَمْتُدْخِلْنَاالْجَنَّةَوَتُنَجِّنَامِنَالنَّارِ؟قَالَفَيَكْشِفُالْحِجَابَفَمَاأُعْطُوْاشَيْئًاأَحَبَّإِلَيْهِمْمِنَالنَّظَرِإِلٰیرَبِّهِمْعَزَّوَجَلَّ،ثُمَّتَلَاهٰذِهِالْآيَةَ : « لِلَّذِيْنَاَحْسَنُواالْحُسْنٰىوَزِيَادَةٌ» ][ مسلم، الإیمان، باب إثبات رؤیۃ المؤمنین … :۱۸۱ ] “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say: ‘Do you want anything more that I may give you?’ They will say: ‘Have You not made our faces white? Have You not admitted us to Paradise and saved us from the Fire?’ He said: ‘Then Allah will remove the veil, and nothing will have been given to them that will be more beloved to them than looking at their Lord.’” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: «لِلَّذِيْنَاَحْسَنُواالْحُسْنٰىوَزِيَادَةٌ»[ یونس : ۲۶ ] “For those who have done good is the best reward and even more (and ‘even more’ means the vision of their Lord Almighty).”
It is narrated from Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ إِنَّكُمْسَتَرَوْنَرَبَّكُمْعِيَانًا ][ بخاري، التوحید، باب قول اللّٰہتعالٰی : « وجوہ یومئذ ناضرۃ…» : ۷۴۳۵ ] “You will see your Lord with your own eyes clearly.” In the hadith of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), it is mentioned that people asked: “O Messenger of Allah! Will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ هَلْتُضَارُّوْنَفِيالْقَمَرِلَيْلَةَالْبَدْرِ؟قَالُوْالاَيَارَسُوْلَاللّٰهِ! قَالَفَهَلْتُضَارُّوْنَفِيالشَّمْسِلَيْسَدُوْنَهَاسَحَابٌ؟قَالُوْالاَيَارَسُوْلَاللّٰهِ ! قَالَفَإِنَّكُمْتَرَوْنَهُكَذٰلِكَ ][ بخاري، التوحید، باب قول اللّٰہتعالٰی : «وجوہ یومئذ ناظرۃ…» : ۷۴۳۷۔ مسلم : ۱۸۲ ] “Do you have any difficulty in seeing the full moon on the night of the fourteenth?” They said: “No, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there are no clouds in front of it?” They said: “No, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “(Be sure that) you will see your Lord in the same way.” In the Noble Qur’an, regarding the wicked people, it is said: « كَلَّاۤاِنَّهُمْعَنْرَّبِّهِمْيَوْمَىِٕذٍلَّمَحْجُوْبُوْنَ»[ المطففین : ۱۵ ] “No! Indeed, they will be veiled from their Lord that Day.” Allah Almighty has specifically mentioned their being deprived of the vision of Allah. If the righteous were also not to see their Lord on that Day, then what difference would there be between them and the wicked? Very unfortunate are those people who, despite such clear verses and hadiths, deny the vision of Allah on the Day of Resurrection. The recompense for this denial is that they will be deprived of this greatest blessing on the Day of Resurrection.
