(Ayah 10) {فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّكُمْ … :} So I said to them: Seek forgiveness from your Lord, (obviously, the stage of seeking forgiveness comes only after accepting faith) surely He is Most Forgiving. {’’ كَانَ ‘‘} is for continuity and perpetuity, meaning that forgiving and pardoning has always been His attribute, so what is the need to ask through any intermediary or means? Seek forgiveness from your Lord yourself, He will forgive you. When forgiveness is granted, you will be saved from punishment in the Hereafter.
