أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ ﴿38﴾
Does every man of them hope to enter the Paradise of Delight?

38. Does every one of them hope that he will be admitted into a Garden of Bliss [23]?

[23] Despite all this, these disbelievers also thought that if, according to the Muslims, there is another life, Paradise, and Hell, then they would enter Paradise before the Muslims. Sometimes they would express this belief in these words: “The Lord who is kind to us today—if there is another life, then what reason is there for Him to be displeased with us there? He will remain kind to us there as well.”
