Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 81) ➊ {اِنَّكُمْلَتَاْتُوْنَالرِّجَالَ:} Instead of using the word for young or beardless boys, the word "men" is used to further express the abhorrence of their act. It is stated that this evil deed was not committed by anyone in the world before you, as mentioned in the previous verse: «مَاسَبَقَكُمْبِهَامِنْاَحَدٍمِّنَالْعٰلَمِيْنَ » That is, you are doubly guilty, first because of this evil act, and second because you initiated this evil act. Now, until the Day of Judgment, every perpetrator of this crime will have his sin also placed upon the people of Lot. ➋ { شَهْوَةًمِّنْدُوْنِالنِّسَآءِ:} This is the third crime: Allah Almighty has created wives for you to fulfill your desires, but you leave them and fulfill your desires with men. This is proof that your nature has become corrupted. Moreover, in fulfilling needs with wives, along with satisfying desires, there are many wisdoms attached: the desire for children, the joy of home, inner peace, mutual friendship between husband and wife, and mercy and compassion for each other. See Surah Ar-Rum (21). Whereas your going to men is only for the fulfillment of desire, which is a most despicable thing. ➌ { مِنْدُوْنِالنِّسَآءِ:} In Surah Ash-Shu'ara it is stated: «وَتَذَرُوْنَمَاخَلَقَلَكُمْرَبُّكُمْمِّنْاَزْوَاجِكُمْ١ؕبَلْاَنْتُمْقَوْمٌعٰدُوْنَ»[الشعراء : ۱۶۶ ] "And you leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives, rather you are a people who transgress." That is, because of this filthy act, you have abandoned your wives; you are being unjust to yourselves, to those men with whom you commit this act, and to those women who are your wives. Just consider what effect this act will have on your wives? Some of their other excesses are also mentioned in Surah Al-Ankabut (29). At this time, the nations of America and Europe have declared homosexuality permissible and have given legal protection to the marriage of man with man and woman with woman. Now their effort is that this act should not be considered a crime in Muslim society as well, and for this they are using all their resources. May Allah Almighty grant Muslims the ability to remain steadfast on the truth and, through jihad in the way of Allah, crush the open rebellion against Allah by the disbelievers, because now Allah's law is to punish through the hands of Muslims instead of heavenly punishment. It is stated: «قَاتِلُوْهُمْيُعَذِّبْهُمُاللّٰهُبِاَيْدِيْكُمْ »[ التوبۃ : ۱۴ ] "Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands."
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
81. 1. That is, you approach men for this act of indecency purely for the sake of lust, and you have no other purpose that would be reasonable. In this respect, you were like the ignorant ones, or you mount one another purely for lustful gratification.
181. 2. Which is the original place for the fulfillment of lust and the real site for attaining pleasure. This points to the distortion of their nature, meaning Allah has made the private part of a woman the place and site for the satisfaction of a man's sexual pleasure, and these wrongdoers, having transgressed this, began to use the anus of men for this purpose.
81. 3. But now, when this deviation from sound nature and transgression of Allah's limits has been adopted by the 'civilized' nations of the West, it has become a fundamental human right, which no one has the right to prevent. Thus, now sodomy has legal protection there, and it is no longer considered a crime at all.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
81. You approach men with desire instead of women. Indeed, you are a people who exceed all bounds [86].
[86] The Act of the People of Lut is Unnatural and Even Lower Than the Animal Level:
This is because this act is against the disposition of nature, and the structure of the sexual organs of men and women is clear evidence refuting this evil deed of theirs. Moreover, apart from humans, no other animals—whether they are wild, domesticated, or birds—commit such a reprehensible act that a male jumps upon another male. This means that humans have descended even below the level of animals. Now, consider: if men fulfill their lustful desires with other men, what status will women have in such a society? Furthermore, if women also embrace other women or fulfill their desires with another animal, such as a dog, etc., then it is as if the entire society will drown in an ocean of immorality. Then how will the human race continue? Is this not a means of destroying one’s own people with one’s own hands? These are such obvious consequences that become apparent just by imagining such a society, and the far-reaching consequences are countless.
