Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The disbelieving chiefs of his people said, “We see you as a foolish man [71], and we think you are one of the liars.”
[71] The Theory of the Need for Multiple Gods and the Accusation of Lack of Intelligence Against Sayyiduna Hud (peace be upon him):
The polytheists, regardless of which nation or place they belong to, generally consider Allah Almighty and His sovereignty to be like that of a worldly king and his rule. They say that just as a king cannot rule his kingdom alone, but rather keeps many helper and assistant officers under his authority, to whom he delegates some powers and with whose help he governs, similarly, Allah Almighty has also delegated certain powers over certain things to some beings, and with their help He is governing the universe. In other words, they consider Allah Almighty to be like an ordinary human who, for the management and running of his kingdom, is dependent on others. Some polytheists of certain countries consider these helper and assistant beings to be angels, some to be goddesses and gods, some to be the spirits of planets, and some to be the friends of Allah. They cannot comprehend that Allah alone can manage the entire universe. Therefore, when Hud (peace be upon him) explained to them that Allah alone can take care of all your affairs and does not need any helper, they replied that there are only two possibilities: either you are lacking intelligence and cannot understand this simple matter, or you are a liar.
