Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 63) ➊ { اَوَ عَجِبْتُمْ اَنْ جَآءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ …… :} The objection of all disbelieving nations was the same: how can a messenger be a human being from among us? Just as many people today who recite the kalimah say, how can a prophet be a human? The root problem of both is the same. The answer of Noah (peace be upon him) was: what is so astonishing about Allah sending admonition to you through a man from among you, so that he may become a role model, warn you, and so that you may fear Allah and mercy may be shown to you. This purpose could never be achieved by sending angels or any other creation.
{وَ لِتَتَّقُوْا وَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ:} It is indicated that by accepting the call of the prophets, piety is produced in the hearts, and this very piety will become the cause of mercy in the Hereafter. (Razi)

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

63. 1. There is a gap of ten generations or ten ancestors between Prophet Nuh (Noah) ؑ and Prophet Adam ؑ. Until shortly before Prophet Nuh ؑ, all people continued to follow Islam. Then, the first deviation from monotheism occurred in such a way that when the righteous people of that nation passed away, their devotees established places of prostration (places of worship) over them and also hung their pictures there. Their intention was that by remembering them in this way, they too would remember Allah and emulate them in the remembrance of Allah. After some time, they made statues from those pictures, and after some more time, these statues took the form of idols and their worship began, and the righteous people of the nation of Nuh became deities. In these circumstances, Allah sent Prophet Nuh ؑ as a prophet among them, who preached for nine hundred and fifty years. But except for a few people, no one accepted his preaching. Eventually, all except the believers were drowned. In this verse, it is being told that the people of Nuh expressed astonishment that a man from among themselves had become a prophet who was warning them of Allah’s punishment? That is, in their view, a human being was not suitable for prophethood.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you, and so that you may become righteous and receive mercy? [66]

[66] It appears that, in response to the call of the Prophets, the deniers have always raised similar objections. Among such objections is this: how can you, being men like us, be messengers of Allah? Although this objection has not been answered at this place, at many other places its answer has been given: that there is no other possible way for the guidance of mankind except that a messenger be sent from among themselves, who can convey Allah’s message to them in their own language.
