Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 183) ➊ { وَ اُمْلِيْ لَهُمْ: ’’ اَمْلَي يُمْلِيْ اِمْلَائً ‘‘} means to grant a long respite.
{ اِنَّ كَيْدِيْ مَتِيْنٌ:} is that which cannot be averted by any trick or strategy. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah gives respite to the oppressor, until when He seizes him, He does not let him escape." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited this verse: «{ وَ كَذٰلِكَ اَخْذُ رَبِّكَ اِذَاۤ اَخَذَ الْقُرٰى [ ھود : ۱۰۲ ] [ بخاری، التفسیر، باب : { وکذٰلک أخذ ربک…} : ۴۶۸۶، عن أبی موسٰی رضی اللہ عنہ ]

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

183. 1 This is the same istidraj and imhal that Allah Almighty gives to individuals and nations as a test. Then, when His will is to take them to account, no one can save them, because His planning is very firm.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

183. And I give them respite; surely, My plan is unbreakable.

The Law of Respite and Gradualness:

The way of Allah is that He first sends small afflictions and hardships upon the criminal people as a form of admonition and warning. If the people take heed from them, then good; otherwise, He tests them in another way, that is, a period of prosperity and ease comes upon them, in which they become so absorbed and engrossed that they do not even remember the previous hardships, and they begin to think that Allah is being kind to them, whereas Allah is only granting them respite so that they may reach the limit they desire, and then suddenly He confronts them with their end. At that time, no power can save people from the punishment of Allah.
