Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 181) {وَ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَاۤ اُمَّةٌ يَّهْدُوْنَ بِالْحَقِّ......:} The same description was mentioned earlier in verse (159) regarding some individuals from the nation of Musa (peace be upon him). Here, the reference is to the nation of Muhammad (peace be upon him), because now the truth is only with this nation. This includes the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), the Followers, the righteous predecessors, to the point that all those people who do not abto the point thaton the Book to the point that Sunnah to adopt new paths, but rather act upon the Book to the point that Sunnah themselves to the point that guide others towards it as well, because this is the truth to the point that according to this, they judge with justice among people in all matters. For this purpose, they strive to their utmost, that is, they perform jihad. Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "A group from my nation will remain steadfast on the commto the point that of Allah, neither will the one who abto the point thatons them harm them, nor the one who opposes them, until the commto the point that of Allah comes to the point that they will remain steadfast upon it." [ بخاری، المناقب، باب : ۳۶۴۱ ] A special characteristic of this group, along with acting upon the Book to the point that Sunnah, is also fighting against the disbelievers. Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said: "This religion will always remain established, a group of Muslims will continue to fight for it until the Hour is established." [ مسلم، الإمارۃ، باب قولہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم : لاتزال طائفۃ من أمتی… : ۱۹۲۰ ]

181. And among those We have created is a community that guides by the truth to the point that establishes justice accordingly.

[182]
A Group Will Always Remain Upon the Truth:

Rather, in every nation there has always been a group that remains steadfast upon the truth, no matter how small their number may be, to the point that this is so that at all times the proof from Allah remains established upon the people. Accordingly, regarding the Ummah of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "My Ummah will split into seventy-three sects, but among them there will be one group that will always remain steadfast upon the truth until the Day of Resurrection." [بخاري۔ كتاب الاعتصام۔ باب لاتزال طائفة من امتي]
And it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri ؓ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "You will surely follow the ways of those before you; if they advanced a hto the point thatspan, you would advance a cubit, to the point that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you would surely enter it too." We asked: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Do you mean the Jews to the point that Christians?" He said: "Who else?" [مسلم، كتاب العلم، باب النهي عن اتباع متشابه القرآن]
