Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 16) ➊ { قَالَ فَبِمَاۤ اَغْوَيْتَنِيْ:} See the devilry of Iblis that he put all the blame for going astray on Allah Almighty and denied his own choice; this is exactly the belief of the Jabriyah, and the polytheists also put the same blame on Allah Almighty, saying that if He had willed, we would not have committed shirk. [ دیکھیے الأنعام : ۱۴۸ ]
{ لَاَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ:} That is, I am already astray, I will also mislead them. (Muwaddih) Here, instead of being Jabri, Satan became Qadari, saying I will do this and I will do that, whereas earlier he said that You did everything. It is clear that both the misguidances of being Jabri and Qadari (denier of predestination) are present in Satan, while faith is between these two.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

16. 1. He went astray under Allah's creative will. But he also made this, like the polytheists, an excuse, just as they used to say that if Allah had willed, we would not have committed shirk.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Iblis said, "Since You have led me astray [14], I will surely sit in ambush for them on Your straight path."

The Accusation of Iblis Against Allah Almighty:

Iblis further committed the crime of blaming Allah Almighty for his disobedience and misguidance, and said that You commanded me to prostrate to a creature who was inferior to me, which hurt the pride and honor of my self, and You put me in such a trial that I was compelled to disobey You. And since Adam ؑ became the means of my misguidance, therefore, now, in whatever way I can, I will mislead him and his progeny by every possible trick, and You will come to know that I will succeed in leading the majority of Adam and his progeny astray; only a few servants will remain who will be obedient and grateful to You.
