قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ﴿125﴾
They said: "Verily, we are returning to our Lord.

(Ayah 125) {قَالُوْۤا اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُوْنَ:} That is, there is no escape from death in any situation; it will certainly come in one form or another. If it is written in our destiny that our end is to be on the gallows, then hang us gladly; we do not care.

125. 1. One meaning of this is that if you treat us in this way, then you too should be prepared for the fact that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will give you a severe punishment for this crime, because all of us have to return to Him after death. Who can escape His punishment? In other words, compared to Pharaoh's worldly punishment, he was warned of the punishment of the Hereafter. The second meaning is that death is inevitable for us; what difference does it make whether death comes on the gallows or in some other way?
