إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَـٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ ﴿20﴾
"Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!"

(Ayah 20) {اِنِّيْ ظَنَنْتُ اَنِّيْ مُلٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ : ’’ اِنِّيْ ظَنَنْتُ ‘‘} Certainly, I had understood. The word "Zann" is used for doubt, assumption, and certainty, because originally it is used for something obtained through signs and indications. If the signs are weak, the matter remains at doubt or assumption; if they are strong, it gives the meaning of predominant assumption and knowledge and certainty. Especially when it is accompanied by {’’إِنَّ‘‘} as well. (Mufradat) Here, the word {’’ ظَنَنْتُ ‘‘} is in the meaning of predominant assumption, which, day by day, turns into certainty with evidence. It is because of this predominant assumption that a person, fearing the reckoning of the Day of Judgment, refrains from disobeying Allah. If, without complete certainty, he is not ready to refrain from disobeying Allah, then complete certainty will only come when the Day of Judgment is present, and at that time, that certainty will be of no benefit. The author of Ahsan al-Tafasir says: "In the Noble Qur'an, the word 'Zann' is used in place of certainty regarding matters of the Hereafter because complete certainty about these matters will only come after death." The summary of the verse is that he will attribute his good fortune to the fact that he lived his life in this world with the understanding that one day he would be held accountable.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. The Scene of Joy for the One Who Receives the Record in His Right Hand:

Since I was certain that I would be questioned about my deeds, I lived a cautious life in the world and made every possible effort not to disobey Allah in any way. Such a person, after the judgment, will be given a place to reside in lofty and elevated gardens, with delicious, tasty, and abundant foods, and the fruits of the trees of the gardens will be lowered before them, so that they will not have to bear even the slightest trouble to pick their desired fruit. After presenting all this, it will be said to them: "Enjoy to your heart's content. Eat from wherever you wish and as much as you wish without any hesitation. In the world, you imposed various restrictions upon yourselves because of Allah's commands. Today, you are given just as much freedom. These blessings and this freedom are for your deeds, as you endured restrictions in the world."
