قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ كَبِيرٍ ﴿9﴾
They will say: "Yes, indeed a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: ‘Allâh never sent down anything (of revelation); you are only in great error.’"
قَالُوا۟ qālū They will say
بَلَىٰ balā Yes
قَدْ qad indeed
جَآءَنَا jāanā came to us
نَذِيرٌۭ nadhīrun a warner
فَكَذَّبْنَا fakadhabnā but we denied
وَقُلْنَا waqul'nā and we said
مَا Not
نَزَّلَ nazzala has sent down
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah

What Was This Great Misguidance?

It was the belief in resurrection after death. The disbelievers considered this to be the greatest misguidance, saying that no one has ever come back after dying, so how can we accept this?
