Verily,, those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His punishment in the Hereafter), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

In the previous verses, there was mention of the inhabitants of Hell who neither feared their Lord nor had any fear of the Day of Judgment or the punishment for their evil deeds, because they were neither willing to believe in the unseen nor to fear it. In contrast to them, now there is mention of those people who, following the demands of sound intellect and the guidance of Allah’s messengers and chosen servants, believed in Allah, His angels, His messengers, and the Day of Judgment without seeing, and feared their Lord without seeing. If they happened to make a mistake, then as a reward for their fear of Allah in the unseen, Allah will forgive them, and because of this fear of the unseen, He will grant them a great reward for the good deeds they performed. The meaning of "khashyah" is intense fear. In reality, the root of every good deed is faith in the unseen and fear of the unseen, and the main reason for abstaining from sin is also this.

12. 1. This is the mention of the believers in contrast to the disbelievers and deniers, and of those blessings which they will receive from Allah on the Day of Resurrection. One meaning of بالغیب is that although they have not seen Allah, yet by affirming the messengers, they remained fearful of Allah's punishment. Another meaning could be that they feared Allah in seclusion, that is, away from the eyes of people.

Indeed, those who fear their Lord [15] unseen will have forgiveness and a great reward.
[15] Besides Faith in the Unseen, No Other Foundation Can Prevent a Person from Sins or Create Noble Character:
Fearing Allah without seeing Him is the very foundation upon which the edifice of a person’s noble character is built, and through which his life is morally refined. All other foundations besides this are weak and unstable. For example, one is that a person himself considers something to be evil; another is that people consider that act to be bad; a third is that the act has negative effects on other members of society; and a fourth is that the act is, according to the law of the government, a punishable offense. None of these foundations is such that it can make a person noble and moral. Neither are people watching him at all times, nor is the government. Therefore, when it comes to his personal interests, a person finds thousands of ways to escape the grasp of people or the law. If anything can prevent a person from sins, it is this belief that Allah is watching him in every situation. He is aware even of the thoughts in his heart. Then, He also has full power to question and punish him. The lives of such people automatically begin to improve. Allah will forgive their minor sins anyway, and then He will grant such people Paradise as well.
