Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Pure Monotheism is Displeasing to the Polytheists:

That is, the polytheists desire that along with the worship of Allah, the worship of others should also continue. Along with the Great God, they include minor gods or His beloved ones in the management of the universe, in fulfilling needs, and in removing difficulties. They continue to mix other religions and non-Islamic philosophies and ideologies into the religion of Allah. But Allah absolutely does not accept such partnership and such compromises. He intends to make the pure and true religion, free from every kind of shirk, prevail over every other religion, and He will certainly accomplish this. If the polytheists find this displeasing, then let them exert all their strength and see.
