Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 10){ يٰۤاَيُّهَاالَّذِيْنَاٰمَنُوْاهَلْاَدُلُّكُمْعَلٰىتِجَارَةٍ … :} The same subject has been stated in another manner in Surah At-Tawbah (111); see the commentary there. Here, glad tidings of salvation from a painful punishment have been given for faith and jihad, whereas in Surah At-Tawbah (38, 39), a warning of a painful punishment has been given for abandoning jihad.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
10. 1. This action (i.e., faith and jihad) has been described as trade, because in this too they will have profit just like in trade. What is that profit? Entry into Paradise and salvation from Hell. What greater profit can there be than this? And what is that profit? This has been explained at another place in this way: "اِنَّاللّٰهَاشْتَرٰيمِنَالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَاَنْفُسَھُمْوَاَمْوَالَھُمْبِاَنَّلَھُمُالْجَنَّةَ" (9:111) Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth in exchange for Paradise.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
O you who believe! Shall I guide you to a trade [13] that will save you from a painful punishment?
[13] That is, it is Allah alone who spreads the light of Islam throughout the world and makes the religion of Islam prevail over all false religions. However, Allah has made the believers the means for this. The matter is that whatever He has determined, He will surely accomplish, and this will be done through your hands. You should believe in Allah and His Messenger with a sincere heart. Place complete trust in Allah’s promises and obey the Messenger of Allah fully. Then, devote your wealth, your time, your abilities, and even your lives to jihad in Allah's path. And this is such a profitable trade and beneficial bargain for you in which there can never be any possibility of loss. In return, you will certainly receive two benefits in the Hereafter: first, that He will save you from the punishment of Hell, and being saved from the punishment of Hell is itself a great success. Second, that He will forgive your sins and mistakes and admit you into gardens of blessings, where you will forever enjoy the bounties of Paradise, and this too is a great success. (A similar subject has already been mentioned under verse 111 of Surah At-Tawbah in footnote number 124. That should also be consulted.)
