Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 45) {فَقُطِعَدَابِرُالْقَوْمِالَّذِيْنَظَلَمُوْا… :} That is, they were all annihilated, and their destruction was also one of Allah’s blessings, upon which everything breathed a sigh of relief, and upon their obliteration, Allah was praised, Who, being the Lord of all worlds, showed mercy to His creation and purified the earth from their existence.

Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
45. 1. In this, regarding God-forgetting nations, Allah Almighty states that sometimes We temporarily open the doors of worldly comforts and abundance for such nations, until when they become deeply engrossed in it and begin to boast about their material prosperity and progress, then We suddenly seize them with Our punishment and cut them off from the root. It is also mentioned in a hadith, the Prophet ﷺ said that when you see that Allah Almighty is granting someone the world according to his desires despite his disobedience, then this is istidraj (giving respite). Then he ﷺ recited this very verse. From the verse of the Noble Quran and the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ, it is understood that worldly progress and prosperity are not proof that the individual or nation who attains them is beloved to Allah and that Allah Almighty is pleased with them, as some people think. In fact, some even consider them, by referring to (اَنَّالْاَرْضَيَرِثُهَاعِبَادِيَالصّٰلِحُوْنَ) 21:15 (declaring them as the embodiment and even calling them Allah’s righteous servants), to be so. Thinking and saying this is wrong. The worldly prosperity of misguided nations or individuals is a trial and a respite, not a reward for their disbelief and sins.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
45. Thus the people who did wrong were cut off to the root, and all praise [48] is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, (Who destroyed such wrongdoers).
[48] That is, this too is a great favor of Allah upon people that He continues to destroy the wrongdoers from time to time, so that the oppressed may be freed from their tyranny and can live their lives in peace and comfort—those whose lives had been made miserable by them.
