Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 27) {وَلَوْتَرٰۤىاِذْوُقِفُوْاعَلَىالنَّارِ …:} When they will see the punishment of the Day of Judgment, they will express the wish to escape its destruction and devastation, saying, "If only we could be sent back to the world, we would refrain from the denial for which we are now facing punishment, and we would believe in the Oneness of Allah and Prophethood." But this will be nothing more than a wish, having no connection with reality. Therefore, in the next verse, it is made clear that they are lying in this wish.

Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
27. 1 Here, the answer to لَوْ is omitted; the implied phrase would be: "then you would see a terrifying scene." 27. 2 But it will not be possible to return from there to the world again so that they may fulfill this desire of theirs. The Quran has mentioned this desire of the disbelievers at several places. For example, (رَبَّنَآاَخْرِجْنَامِنْهَافَاِنْعُدْنَافَاِنَّاظٰلِمُوْنَ 17 قَالَاخْسَـُٔـوْافِيْهَاوَلَاتُكَلِّمُوْنِ 18) 23:17, 18 "O our Lord, take us out from this Hell; if we disobey You again, then surely we are wrongdoers." Allah will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me." (رَبَّنَآاَبْصَرْنَاوَسَمِعْنَافَارْجِعْنَانَعْمَلْصَالِحًااِنَّامُوْقِنُوْنَ) 32:12 "O our Lord, we have seen and heard, so send us back to the world so that we may do righteous deeds; now we have attained certainty."
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani

It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
If only you could see when they will be made to stand by the Fire [31], they will say: "If only we could be sent back, we would never deny the signs of our Lord and would be among the believers."
[31] That is, these stubborn people will not come to their senses until they see the punishment of Hell. At that time, all their arrogance will be shattered. Then they will wish that if only they could have the opportunity to return to the world, they would certainly become obedient servants of Allah.
