Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 26)➊ {وَ هُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَ يَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ:} That is, they do not suffice with only criticizing the Quran, but also prevent others from listening to the Quran and from going to you (ﷺ), and they themselves also stay away. Even today, many scholars among Muslims who are involved in shirk and innovation also forbid people from listening to the speeches of the people of Tawheed and do not listen themselves, rather, they stop people from reading the translation of the Noble Quran, fearing that after the truth becomes clear, they might accept it and escape from our grip.

{وَ اِنْ يُّهْلِكُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْفُسَهُمْ:} That is, by doing so, they cannot harm Allah and His religion in any way, rather, they are preparing their own destruction, and they do not even realize that by doing so, they are only harming themselves.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

26. 1 That is, they prevent ordinary people from you and from the Qur'an so that they do not believe, and they themselves also keep far away. 26. 2 But preventing people and keeping themselves away—how does this harm us or our Prophet ﷺ? By doing such things, they are themselves, unknowingly, preparing for their own destruction.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

They prevent others from the right path and keep themselves away [30] from it as well. They are destroying themselves, but they do not realize it.

[30] It is as if they are double criminals, and they carry the burden of the sins of those who are kept away from the path of truth because of their efforts. They are carrying upon themselves a proportional share of the burden of the sins of others. Therefore, how severe will be the destruction of such people? And they do not understand how they themselves are striking their own feet with an axe by their own hands.
