Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 135) ➊ { قُلْ يٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمْ:} This does not mean that you are permitted to do whatever you wish; rather, it is meant as a rebuke, just as someone says, "Fine, keep doing whatever you are doing, I will deal with you soon."
{مَنْ تَكُوْنُ لَهٗ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ:} Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Allah Almighty fulfilled His promise to His Messenger and granted him control over all the lands; the opponents were left at his mercy, Makkah was conquered, and all of this happened during his lifetime. After his passing, lands from the east to the west were conquered. In the Hereafter, the outcome will be even better than this. See Surah Al-Mu’min (51, 52).
{ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ:} "Indeed" is the translation of { ”اِنَّ“ }, and "the reality is" is the translation of the pronoun of state { ”هٗ“}.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

135. 1. This is not permission to persist in disbelief and sin, rather it is a severe warning, as is clear from the following words. Just as in another place it is said: (Say to those who do not believe: Act according to your position, we too are acting; and wait, we too are waiting) Surah Hud, 11:121-122.

135. 2. As Allah soon fulfilled this promise. In 8 AH, Makkah was conquered, and after its conquest, Arab tribes began entering Islam in crowds, and the entire Arabian Peninsula came under the control of the Muslims.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

135. Say: "O my people! Act according to your position, for I too am acting. Soon you will know whose end will be better. Surely, the wrongdoers will never succeed."

[142] That is, if you do not refrain from your wrong course, then remain firm upon it, and let me follow my own path. Soon, all of us will come to know whose end turns out to be better—ours or yours. In any case, it is certain that the wrongdoers never attain success, neither in this world nor in the Hereafter. Here, "wrongdoing" refers to shirk (associating partners with Allah), as Sayyiduna Luqman advised his son: "O my son! Never commit shirk, for shirk is indeed the greatest wrongdoing." And here, shirk is meant by wrongdoing because, ahead, some actions and rituals of the polytheists are going to be mentioned.
