(Ayah 21) ➊ { كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَاَغْلِبَنَّ اَنَا وَ رُسُلِيْ:} The honor and dominance of Allah’s messengers and the believers have been mentioned in contrast to the {’’ الْاَذَلِّيْنَ ‘‘} of the disbelievers. For commentary, see the exegesis of Surah As-Saffat (171 to 173).
{ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيْزٌ:} This is the reason for Allah and His messengers prevailing: Allah is very powerful and dominant over all, so who can prevail over Him?

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. In What Senses Does the Dominance of the People of Truth Occur?

By dominance is not meant only political dominance; rather, this is just one aspect of dominance, and sometimes Allah’s party attains this, and sometimes it does not. The dominance that is certain has two aspects. One is that the moral superiority of Allah’s party is, in any case, an established fact. Honesty and avoidance of deceit and trickery are the golden principles of this party, which people of all kinds sincerely admire. The second aspect is the steadfastness and dominance of their beliefs. False ideologies, in every era, keep forming and collapsing and die their own death, whereas the beliefs and doctrines of Allah’s party have remained intact and established from the time of Sayyiduna Adam until today, and will continue to remain so until the Day of Judgment.
