نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَـٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَـٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ﴿73﴾
We have made it a Reminder (of the Hell-fire in the Hereafter), and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world).
نَحْنُ naḥnu We
جَعَلْنَـٰهَا jaʿalnāhā have made it
تَذْكِرَةًۭ tadhkiratan a reminder
وَمَتَـٰعًۭا wamatāʿan and a provision
لِّلْمُقْوِينَ lil'muq'wīna for the wayfarers in the desert

(Ayah 73) {نَحْنُ جَعَلْنٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَّ مَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِيْنَ: ’’قَوِيَ يَقْوٰي قِيًّا وَ قَوَايَةً‘‘ (س) ’’اَلدَّارُ‘‘} The house became empty. {’’وَقَوًي‘‘} To be extremely hungry. {’’اَلْمَطَرُ‘‘} The rain stopped. {’’اَلْقَوَاءُ‘‘} Empty land, wilderness, hunger. {’’بَاتَ الْقَوٰي‘‘} He spent the night hungry. {’’اَلْمُقْوِيْنُ‘‘} From the root in the Bab-e-If'al {’’أَقْوٰي يُقْوِيْ إِقْوَاءً‘‘} the plural of the active participle {’’مُقْوٍي‘‘}, its meaning is also the travelers of the wilderness (jungle, desert), or the nomads who stay or live in it, and also hungry people. There is no doubt that everyone needs fire, but those people who are mentioned in the verse need it much more. The meaning of the verse is not that fire is not a means of admonition or sustenance for other people, but rather, these two are especially mentioned because in travel and hunger this feeling is more evident and the value of this blessing of Allah is appreciated more.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. 73-1. That its effects and benefits are astonishing, and it holds the status of a backbone for the preparation of countless things in the world. This is a sign of Our great power, then just as We have created this fire in the world, We are also capable of creating it in the Hereafter, which will be of a temperature 69 times greater than this.

Maqween is the plural of Muqwi, from Qawa, meaning one who enters an empty desert; the intended meaning is traveler, that is, travelers in deserts and forests benefit from these trees, obtaining light, warmth, and fuel from them. Some have taken Maqween to mean those poor who are empty-stomached due to hunger. Some have interpreted it as beneficiaries (those who benefit). This includes the rich and poor, residents and travelers—all benefit from fire. That is why, in the hadith, among the three things that are to be kept common and from which no one should be prevented, along with water and grass, fire is also included. Imam Ibn Kathir preferred this meaning more.

73. We have made this tree a means of reminder and a benefit for travelers [34].

The Literal Meaning of ﴿مُقْوِيْنٌ﴾:

﴿مُقْوِيْنٌ﴾ ﴿القوٰي﴾ means hunger, and ﴿باتَ الْقَوٰي﴾ means to spend the night hungry, and ﴿القاوية﴾ means a year of little rain, and ﴿تقاوٰي﴾ means a shortage or excess of rain that destroys crops and brings about famine. And ﴿تقاوي﴾ are those loans which the government gives to landlords in such years of famine on the condition of payment in installments, and ﴿تقاوي﴾ means to spend the night hungry, and "qut la-yamut" means such a small amount of food that a person can just survive, and ﴿مقوين﴾ means people who travel in need of sustenance. Nomadic people who keep moving here and there in search of sustenance. Such people can also erect temporary shelters from tree wood. By selling fuel, they can also fulfill their other needs.
