Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 2){ لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ: ’’ كَاذِبَةٌ ‘‘} is a verbal noun (masdar) meaning {’’كِذْبٌ‘‘} just as {’’اَلْعَافِيَةُ‘‘} means {’’ مُعَافَاةٌ ‘‘} and {’’اَلْعََاقِبَةُ‘‘} means {’’عُقْبٰي‘‘} are verbal nouns (masdars). That is, there is no falsehood in its occurrence.

[1] This verse has two meanings. One is clear from the translation. The second is that no one can prevent the occurrence of the Day of Judgment. And no one can render its occurrence as non-existent.
