Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 58) {كَاَنَّهُنَّالْيَاقُوْتُوَالْمَرْجَانُ: ’’ الْيَاقُوْتُ ‘‘} The red stone which is so clear and transparent that if a thread is passed through a hole in it, it can be seen from outside. {’’ الْمَرْجَانُ ‘‘} Refers to coral (small pearls). The red and white complexion, charm, cleanliness, and transparency of the women of Paradise have been likened to ruby and coral. Muhammad (Ibn Sirin) says: [ إِمَّاتَفَاخَرُوْاوَإِمَّاتَذَاكَرُواالرِّجَالُفِيالْجَنَّةِأَكْثَرُأَمِالنِّسَاء ؟ فَقَالَأَبُوْهُرَيْرَةَأَوَلَمْيَقُلْأَبُوالْقَاسِمِصَلَّیاللّٰهُعَلَيْهِوَسَلَّمَإِنَّأَوَّلَزُمْرَةٍتَدْخُلُالْجَنَّةَعَلٰیصُوْرَةِالْقَمَرِلَيْلَةَالْبَدْرِوَالَّتِيْتَلِيْهَاعَلٰیأَضْوَإِكَوْكَبٍدُرِّيٍّفِيالسَّمَاءِلِكُلِّامْرِءٍمِّنْهُمْزَوْجَتَانِاثْنَتَانِيُرٰیمُخُّسُوْقِهِمَامِنْوَّرَاءِاللَّحْمِوَمَافِيالْجَنَّةِعَزَبٌ][مسلم، الجنۃ و صفۃ نعیمھا، باب أول زمرۃ تدخل الجنۃ : ۲۸۳۴ ] "Either because people mentioned pride between women and men, or there was a discussion as to whether there will be more men or women in Paradise? So Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Did Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) not say that the first group to enter Paradise will be like the full moon, and the next group will be like the brightest shining star in the sky, each man among them will have two wives, whose marrow of their shins will be visible from beneath the flesh, and there will be no person in Paradise without a wife.'" Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ لَرَوْحَةٌفِيْسَبِيْلِاللّٰهِأَوْغَدْوَةٌخَيْرٌمِّنَالدُّنْيَاوَمَافِيْهَا ، وَلَقَابُقَوْسِأَحَدِكُمْمِّنَالْجَنَّةِأَوْمَوْضِعُقِيْدٍيَعْنِيْسَوْطَهُخَيْرٌمِّنَالدُّنْيَاوَمَافِيْهَاوَلَوْأَنَّامْرَأَةًمِّنْأَهْلِالْجَنَّةِاطَّلَعَتْإِلٰیأَهْلِالْأَرْضِلَأَضَاعَتْمَابَيْنَهُمَاوَلَمَلَأَتْهُرِيْحًا ، وَلَنَصِيْفُهَاعَلٰیرَأْسِهَاخَيْرٌمِّنَالدُّنْيَاوَمَافِيْهَا ][بخاري، الجھاد و السیر، باب حور العین وصفتہن: ۲۷۹۶ ] "A morning or an evening spent in the way of Allah is better than the world and whatever is in it, and the space of a bow or a whip of any one of you in Paradise is better than the world and whatever is in it, and if a woman from the people of Paradise were to look towards the people of the earth, the space between the earth and the sky would be illuminated and filled with fragrance, and the scarf on her head is better than the world and whatever is in it."

58. 1. That is, in purity they will be like rubies, and in whiteness and redness like pearls or coral, just as in the Sahih hadith their beauty and elegance have been described in these words: "Because of their beauty and elegance, the marrow of their shins will be visible from outside the flesh and bone." In another narration, it is said that the wives of the people of Paradise will be so beautiful and elegant that if one of them were to look down upon the people of the earth, the entire space between the sky and the earth would shine and be filled with fragrance. And the scarf on her head will be so precious that it is better than the world and whatever is in it. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Jihad, Bab al-Hur al-'Ayn)

58. They will be like rubies [37] and coral.
[37] This is the third quality of those women, which encompasses several attributes; for example, they will be so beautiful and attractive like rubies and ﴿مرجان﴾, or they will be so radiant and clear like rubies and ﴿مرجان﴾, or they will be so clean and pure that even touching them would make them dirty.
