Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

is the verbal noun (masdar) of (Ayah 5) { اَلشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ: ’’حُسْبَانٌ‘‘ ’’حَسِبَ يَحْسِبُ‘‘} is, in which "alif noon" has been added, thereby increasing the meaning, as is the case in {’’طُغْيَانٌ‘‘ ’’رُجْحَانٌ‘‘} and {’’كُفْرَانٌ‘‘}, etc. That is, the sun and the moon are moving with a very precise and subtle calculation; under the sky, the fixed and moving stars are countless, some of which are thousands of times larger than the sun and the moon. The countless wisdoms of Allah Almighty in their creation and movement are also innumerable, but the sun and the moon are mentioned specifically because, due to their prominent visibility, the affairs of the inhabitants of the earth are more closely related to these two. Mufassir Kilani writes: "The sun and the moon moving according to a fixed speed, and then not being delayed even for a moment, is a great blessing for mankind. From the sun, day and night keep alternating, and the seasons keep changing gradually. The times of prayers are also related to the sun, and the ripening of crops also depends on the sun. From the moon, we get light at night, we can keep track of months and years, and this is the real and natural calendar. That is why the fasting of Ramadan, Hajj, the two Eids, and other countable periods, such as the period of pregnancy, the period of suckling, and the 'iddah (waiting period), etc., are related to the moon. Then, such an appropriate distance has been kept between the sun and the earth that any increase or decrease in it would make life impossible for humans and all other living beings on this earth, and all benefits are being obtained only because Allah Almighty has bound these gigantic bodies in such natural laws that they cannot deviate at all and remain constantly revolving in their fixed orbits at a fixed speed." (Tayseer al-Qur'an) See also Surah Al-An'am (96) and Surah Bani Isra'il (12).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

5. 1. That is, according to the calculation fixed by Allah, they continue moving in their respective orbits, they do not exceed them.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Benefits to Humans Due to the Order in the Moon and the Sun:

The sun and the moon move according to a fixed speed. Then, not even for a moment is there any delay in this, which is a great blessing for mankind. Day and night alternate due to the sun, and there is a gradual change in the seasons. The times of prayers are also related to the sun. The ripening of crops also depends on the sun. From the moon, we get light at night. We can keep track of months and years, and this is the real and natural calendar. That is why the fasts of Ramadan, Hajj, Eids, and other countable periods such as the period of pregnancy, the period of suckling, and the 'iddah (waiting period), etc., are related to the moon. Then, such an appropriate distance has been kept between the sun and the earth that any increase or decrease in it would make life on this earth impossible for humans and all other living beings. And all these benefits are being obtained only because Allah Almighty has bound these massive bodies in such natural laws that they cannot deviate from them, and they are constantly revolving in their fixed orbits at a fixed speed.
