Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
The meaning of (Ayah 10){ وَالْاَرْضَوَضَعَهَالِلْاَنَامِ: ’’ اَلْأَنَامُ‘‘} is every living creature, that is, Allah Almighty has made and spread the earth in such a way that all the needs of the creatures are fulfilled from it—their coming into existence, eating and drinking, clothing, living, moving about, staying alive, and being buried; in short, every need and every convenience is connected to it. Although the word {’’ اَلْأَنَامُ‘‘} includes all creatures, here it refers to jinn and humans, because only these two will be held accountable, and further on, the favors are mentioned specifically for them. Elsewhere, Allah Almighty has said that He has made everything on earth for humans, as He said: «هُوَالَّذِيْخَلَقَلَكُمْمَّافِيالْاَرْضِجَمِيْعًا »[ البقرۃ:۲۹] "He is the One Who created for you all that is in the earth." And He said: « وَسَخَّرَلَكُمْمَّافِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَمَافِيالْاَرْضِجَمِيْعًا »[ الجاثیۃ : ۱۳ ] "And He has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth." For references about the earth being made and spread for humans, see Surah Ra'd (3), Naml (60, 61), Ya-Sin (33 to 35), Ha Mim Sajdah (9, 10), Zukhruf (9, 10), Jathiyah (3, 4), Qaf (7, 8), Mulk (15), Mursalat (25, 26), Naba (6), and Surah Nazi'at (30 to 33).

10. And He made the earth for all creatures [8].
[8] The Literal Meaning of ﴿انام﴾:
By ﴿انام﴾ is meant every living creature that is found on the face of the earth, whether they are animals or birds, livestock or beasts, humans or jinn. And by ﴿انام﴾, it is more appropriate to take it as referring to humans and jinn, since the mention of these two kinds is coming up ahead. The meaning is that the sustenance of all creatures living on the earth has been made dependent on the earth itself. This is their place of birth, their dwelling, and their burial ground.
Refutation of the Communist Ideology:
From this verse, the proponents of communism have tried to derive their ideology that the land should be taken into the possession of the government, and then it should provide sustenance to all individuals. For the refutation of this ideology, it is sufficient to note that the meaning of ﴿انام﴾ is not just humans, but all living creatures. Then, several objections also arise regarding this: for example, will all the produce of the land be distributed, or manufactured goods? And is it even possible for every individual to be given an equal share in the state? And today, this ideology has in practice also been declared invalid.
