Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 17) ➊ { وَ لَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ …:} That is, We have made the Quran easy for admonition; its words are easy, its meanings are also easy, there is no difficulty in reading it nor in understanding it, so is there anyone who will take admonition from it and refrain from disobedience? In this, there is encouragement to read, teach, understand, explain, and take admonition from the Noble Quran. Despite this, among Muslims there are many people who say that understanding the Quran and Hadith is not the work of every person, it is the work of great scholars and learned people who have studied fourteen or twenty-one sciences. The result is that they spend their whole lives studying various difficult sciences and arts, but do not come close to the Quran, and while completing their fourteen or twenty-one sciences, they pass away from this world. Some are such oppressors who say that it is forbidden for the common man to read the translation of the Quran, because there is a danger of misguidance from it. Whereas the Noble Quran was revealed in clear Arabic and was revealed for the guidance of people, every common and special, learned and ignorant Arab heard it, understood it, acted upon it, and conveyed it further. In our language Urdu, about seventy (70) percent of the words of the Noble Quran are present; with a little attention, every person can understand the translation of the Quran. But those people who, in opposition to the Quran and Hadith, have made a new religion and have adopted shirk in opposition to tawheed and innovation in opposition to sunnah, their entire effort is that people should not become aware of the original Noble Quran and Hadith, otherwise they will escape from their clutches. May Allah grant guidance and grant Muslims the ability to return to the Quran and Sunnah.

➋ One miracle and sign of the Noble Quran being made easy by Allah Almighty is that it is memorized with ease. There is no book in the world whose thousands and hundreds of thousands of memorizers have existed in every era, and this too is a hidden intervention of Allah Almighty that He has placed the desire for memorization of His Book in the hearts of Muslims, even the most sinful Muslim wishes that his child becomes a memorizer of the Quran. The communists tried as much as they could to erase the Quran in their dominated countries, but Muslims continued the memorization of the Quran in the basements of their homes, hiding from communist spies, the blessing of which was that the communists failed miserably in erasing the Quran. Even now, there are hundreds of thousands of memorizers of the Quran present in the world. (And all praise is due to Allah) See also the exegesis of Surah Al-Ankabut (49).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

17. 1. That is, to understand its meanings and interpretations, to take admonition and advice from it, and to memorize it verbally, We have made it easy. In the same way, this is the only book in the world that is memorized word for word; otherwise, even memorizing and retaining a small book in this manner is extremely difficult.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

17. And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance [17]. So is there anyone who will take heed?

The Excellence of the Quran and Its Simple Language:

It is a great favor and blessing of Allah that He has made His Word easy and simple. The examples, analogies, scenes of nature, arguments, and style of expression given in it are straightforward and easily understandable, because its primary audience were unlettered people. They were not learned or scholarly individuals. Nor is it a book of philosophy or logic whose text is complicated and obscure. Allah Almighty has clearly stated that We have not placed any complexity in this Book. [8: 11]
Moreover, it does not contain mere imaginary philosophies, but rather such guidance is given in it that relates to the practical life of a person, and anyone can understand it and, if he wishes, can obtain guidance from it. In addition, despite not being poetry, it possesses harmony and impact greater than poetry; for this reason, it is easy to memorize, and every young and old, Arab and non-Arab, memorizes it with a little effort. For this reason, there have always been hundreds of thousands of memorizers of the Quran in every era. Then, another aspect of it is that its primary audience are unlettered people, but the One addressing is the Being who is the most knowledgeable and wise, due to which twofold excellences have arisen in it: one is that both the beginner and the advanced benefit equally from this Word, and according to their own level of knowledge, can benefit and obtain guidance from it; and the second is that despite Allah Almighty adopting a simple style of expression, countless secrets and wisdoms are hidden in this Word, which continue to be revealed through repeated reading and contemplation. As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself, by saying "la tanqadhi ‘aja’ibuhu" (its wonders never cease), pointed towards these matters: that is, the Quran is such a Book whose wonders can never come to an end.
