And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped.

(Ayah 9) ➊ {وَنَزَّلْنَامِنَالسَّمَآءِمَآءًمُّبٰرَكًا:’’ مَآءًمُّبٰرَكًا ‘‘} That water in which there is much blessing, that is, abundant good. Here, the verb form "mufa‘alah" is not for participation but for emphasis. Who can estimate the abundance of good in the water that Allah blesses? After mentioning the creation of the heavens and the earth and what is between them to establish life after death, now the rain and the things produced from the earth by its blessing are mentioned. The purpose of this too is to establish life after death, as at the end it is said: «كَذٰلِكَالْخُرُوْجُ »[ قٓ : ۱۱ ] "Thus (will you be brought forth again)." For sending down water from the sky, the verb form "taf‘il" {’’ نَزَّلْنَا ‘‘} is used, which indicates gradualness. If Allah were to send down billions of tons of water at once instead of raindrops, nothing would remain on the earth.
➋ {فَاَنْۢبَتْنَابِهٖجَنّٰتٍوَّحَبَّالْحَصِيْدِ: ’’حَصَدَيَحْصُدُحَصْدًاوَحِصَادًا‘‘} (n) To reap a crop. {’’ الْحَصِيْدِ ‘‘} meaning {’’اَلْمَحْصُوْدُ‘‘} a reaped crop. The things produced by rain are of two types: some whose trees remain and their fruits, flowers, gum, leaves, branches, and wood, etc., are benefited from; and some which are cut and from which grains, pulses, vegetables, medicines, and countless useful things are obtained. Here, especially fruit-bearing trees and grains are mentioned, because they have superiority over other things and become food for humans and their domesticated animals, as it is said: « مَتَاعًالَّكُمْوَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْ »[ النازعات : ۳۳ ] "For your sustenance and that of your cattle."

And We sent down blessed [11] water from the sky, with which We brought forth gardens and grain for harvest.
[11] The Sprouting of Vegetation from Rain and Resurrection After Death:
The land upon which rain fell was itself soil and dead, and the water that descended was also lifeless. However, it was blessed in the sense that when it mixed with the earth, it made the dead land come alive, and it became capable of producing living things. The crops and grains that grew in it were also alive because they grew and flourished, and this is the sign of life. Then, various kinds of trees and gardens, and especially the tall, lofty date palms were produced, in which there was life. Then, from these crops and gardens, grains, fruits, and produce were obtained. And these things were lifeless. Thus, Allah showed how He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living, and this process continues at all times and every moment.
