Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 31) {وَ اُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ:} According to the general style of the Quran, along with the mention of the people of Hell, the people of Paradise are also mentioned. That is, for the honor of the righteous people, Paradise will be brought near to them, so that they do not have to bear the trouble of walking.

The word {’’ غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ ‘‘} is for emphasis, as He said: « وَ اَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهٗ وَ مَا هَدٰى » [ طٰہٰ : ۷۹ ] "And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide them to the right path." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the prayer for rain: [ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ عَاجِلاً غَيْرَ آجِلٍ ] [ أبو داوٗد، صلاۃ الاستسقاء، باب رفع الیدین في الاستسقاء : ۱۱۶۹ ] "(O Allah! Let it be a beneficial rain, not causing harm, and let it come quickly, not delayed.)"

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

31. 1. And some have said that the Day of Judgment, the day Paradise will be brought near, is not far because it will inevitably occur, and "كل ما هو آت فهو قريب" (everything that is coming is near), and whatever is to come is near, not far. (Ibn Kathir)

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

31. And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous [36], not far away.

The Mutual Dialogue Between Paradise and Hell:

Those pious ones for whom the decision of Paradise has been made will, even before entering Paradise, see it adorned with beauty and various blessings, and will begin to sense its pleasant fragrances. Even if the distance is great, Paradise will be brought near to them by contracting it. What kind of people will enter Paradise and what kind will enter Hell? This is observed in the following hadith: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Paradise and Hell began to argue with each other. Hell said, 'In me will enter those who are arrogant and tyrannical,' and Paradise said, 'In me will enter those who are weak and humble.' Allah Almighty said to Paradise: 'You are My mercy; through you I will show mercy to whomever of My servants I wish.' And He said to Hell: 'You are My punishment; through you I will punish whomever of My servants I wish.' And each of them will be filled. Hell will not be filled in any way until Allah Almighty places His foot upon it. Then it will say, 'Enough, enough,' and it will be filled and contract, and Allah Almighty will not wrong any of His creation. As for Paradise, to fill it Allah Almighty will create more creation."
