Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 30) {يَوْمَ نَقُوْلُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَاْتِ … :} That is, all this will happen on the day when We will say to Hell, "Are you filled?" Its most authentic explanation is the one narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: [ يُلْقٰی فِي النَّارِ وَ تَقُوْلُ هَلْ مِنْ مَّزِيْدٍ حَتّٰی يَضَعَ قَدَمَهُ فَتَقُوْلُ قَطْ قَطْ ] [ بخاري، التفسیر، سورۃ قٓ، باب قولہ : « وتقول ھل من مزید» : ۴۸۴۸ ] "People will be thrown into Hell and it will keep saying, 'Is there any more?' until Allah places His Foot in it, then it will say, 'Enough, enough.'" According to some people, Hell will say this in the language of its state, but such interpretation is needed only where the reality is not possible, and here Allah has given everything a tongue, whose speech, if we do not understand, the Creator understands very well, as He said: « وَ اِنْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ اِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهٖ وَ لٰكِنْ لَّا تَفْقَهُوْنَ تَسْبِيْحَهُمْ» [ بني إسرائیل : ۴۴ ] "And there is not a thing but that it exalts Him with His praise, but you do not understand their exalting." And He said: «وَ قَالُوْا لِجُلُوْدِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدْتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا١ؕ قَالُوْۤا اَنْطَقَنَا اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْۤ اَنْطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ » [ حٰمٓ السجدۃ : ۲۱ ] "And they will say to their skins, 'Why did you testify against us?' They will say, 'Allah has made us speak, the One who made everything speak.'"

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. 1 Allah the Exalted has said: (لَاَمْلَئَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ 13؀) 32. As-Sajdah:13). I will surely fill Hell with humans and jinn. When this promise is fulfilled and Allah the Exalted will throw the disbelieving jinn and humans into Hell, then He will ask Hell whether it is filled or not? It will reply, "Is there any more?" That is, even though I am filled, O Allah, there is still room in my embrace for Your enemies.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. On that Day, We will ask Hell, "Are you filled [35]?" And it will say, "Are there any more?"

Hell Speaking on the Day of Judgment:

If Hell answers Allah’s question not just in the language of state but also in the language of speech, there is nothing surprising in it. Allah can grant the power of speech to whatever He wills. Two things are understood from Hell’s answer. First, that Hell will be so large and vast that even after all those deserving of Hell have entered it—whether they are humans, jinn, or devils—there will still be space left in it. And this is also understood from the following hadith: Sayyiduna Anas ؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The people of Hell will be thrown into Hell, and Hell will keep saying, ‘Is there any more?’ until Allah places His foot upon it, then it will say, ‘Enough, enough (I am full).’” [بخاري۔ كتاب التفسير]

And secondly, that on that day Hell will be blazing with such rage and fury that in response to Allah’s question, it will say, “Bring all those who deserve to enter me; today I will leave none.”
