ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ ﴿26﴾
"Who set up another ilâh (god) with Allâh. Then both of you cast him in the severe torment."

26. Who had set up another god [32] besides Allah. So cast him into the severe punishment.

[32] This "god" can also refer to a person's own self and desires. And most of the evils mentioned above are found in those who follow their own desires. Each of these evils is such that it makes a person deserving of Hell. Especially this last evil, about which it is explicitly mentioned that Allah may forgive any other sin for whomever He wills, but there can never be forgiveness for a polytheist, nor can he ever attain salvation from Hell.
