Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 15) ➊ { اَفَعَيِيْنَابِالْخَلْقِالْاَوَّلِ:} This is the summary and conclusion of the argument whose details have been coming since the beginning of the surah: that when We created the heavens and the earth, rain, and all the aforementioned things at a time when there was nothing, and no fatigue befell Us from creating them, then is this poor, weakly-structured human being such a creature whom, after creating for the first time, We became tired and cannot resurrect again? Whereas Our act of creation is continuously ongoing, and resurrection is a trivial matter compared to the first creation. Allah Almighty has mentioned this in various ways in several places; see Surah Ar-Rum (27), Ya-Sin (78, 79), An-Nazi'at (27), and Surah Qaf (38).
➋ {بَلْهُمْفِيْلَبْسٍمِّنْخَلْقٍجَدِيْدٍ:} That is, they do not deny that We created them the first time, nor that after creating them the first time, We did not become tired; yet despite this, they doubt whether We can create them again or not. Whereas with a little reflection, it can be understood that if any difficulty were to arise, it would have arisen the first time; the task of creating for the second time is much easier compared to the first.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
15. 1. That resurrecting on the Day of Judgment will be difficult for Us. The meaning is that when creating for the first time was not difficult for Us, then resurrecting again is even easier than creating for the first time. As stated in another place (وَهُوَالَّذِيْيَبْدَؤُاالْخَــلْقَثُمَّيُعِيْدُهٗوَهُوَاَهْوَنُعَلَيْهِ) 30. Ar-Rum:27) and also in 36. Ya-Sin:79-78), this subject is also mentioned. And in a Hadith Qudsi, Allah Almighty says: "The son of Adam hurts Me by saying that Allah will never be able to resurrect me as He created me the first time. Whereas creating the first time is not easier than creating the second time." That is, if there is any difficulty, it is in creating the first time, not the second (Sahih al-Bukhari).
15. 2. That is, this is Allah's power, it is not that they are deniers, but the real issue is that they are in doubt about the occurrence of the Day of Judgment and about being resurrected in it.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
15. Were We wearied by the first creation? Rather, they are in doubt about a new creation [17].
[17] The fundamental mistake is to liken Allah Almighty to any human or any living creature, and from this, many kinds of misguidance arise. They think that just as we become tired after working, Allah Almighty must also have become tired after creating such a vast universe. Therefore, how will He create this universe again a second time? One answer given in various places in the Quran is that even in your own view, making something a second time is easier than making it the first time, so how can it be difficult for Allah to create it again? And here, the answer given is that the real issue is not that they consider Us tired or incapable, but rather, their intellect does not accept that they can be created again. They remain doubtful in this matter. Both possibilities remain in their minds. But since their base desires demand that there should be no reckoning, they remain firm upon this.
