Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 36) {اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَوْ اَنَّ لَهُمْ مَّا فِي الْاَرْضِ ……:} Surah Al-Imran, Ayah (91) has the same meaning. It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will say to the person who will have the lightest punishment among the people of the Fire: 'If you had whatever is on the earth, would you give it to ransom yourself?' He will say: 'Yes!' Then Allah Almighty will say: 'I asked you for something much easier than this when you were in the loins of Adam: that you should not associate anything with Me, but you refused except to associate others with Me.'" Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

36. 1. It is mentioned in a hadith that a person from Hell will be brought out and presented before Allah. Allah will ask him, "How did you find your resting place?" He will reply, "The worst resting place." Allah will say, "Would you like to ransom yourself from it by giving gold equal to the earth?" He will answer in the affirmative. Allah will say, "I had demanded from you much less than this in the world, but you did not care about it there," and he will be thrown back into Hell. (Sahih Muslim)

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

36. Surely, those who disbelieve—if they possessed all that is in the earth, and as much again with it, and offered it as ransom to free themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection [70], it would not be accepted from them. And for them is a painful punishment.

[70] The Prophet ﷺ said that on the Day of Resurrection, the person in Hell who will have the lightest punishment will be asked by Allah, "If you had whatever is on the earth and something equal to it, would you give it to ransom yourself?" He will say, "Yes." Allah will say, "When you were in human form, I asked you for something much lighter than this—that you should not associate partners with Me—but you did not accept that" (and continued to commit shirk).
