Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 30) {فَاَصْبَحَمِنَالْخٰسِرِيْنَ:} That is, his worldly life was also ruined and in the Hereafter he became deserving of severe punishment, because the sin of every subsequent murder will also be upon his neck, as has been mentioned earlier in the hadith.

30. 1. Thus, it is mentioned in the hadith (لَاتَقْتُلُنَفْسًظُلُمًَااِلَّاکَانَعَلٰیاِبْنِآدَمْ کفل من دمہا، لانہ کان اول من سن القتل) (Sahih Bukhari) that for every murder committed unjustly (along with the killer), the burden of the innocent blood is upon Adam's first son because he was the first person who committed murder. Imam Ibn Kathir states, "It is apparent that Qabil was given the punishment for the unjust killing of Habil immediately in this world." It is mentioned in the hadith that the Prophet ﷺ said, "(Oppression and transgression) and severing of kinship ties—these two sins are more deserving that Allah punishes their doers quickly in this world; however, the punishment of the Hereafter is separate and in addition to this and will be faced there." Both of these sins were combined in Qabil. 'إِنَّالِلّهِوَإِنَّـاإِلَيْهِرَاجِعونَ' 2:156 (Ibn Kathir)
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. But his soul prompted him to kill his brother, [62] so he killed him and became one of the losers.
[62] Qabil listened to his brother’s words and pondered over them for some time, but eventually he decided that as long as Habil remained alive, he could not marry that girl. Therefore, he thought that only by getting rid of him could he gain any benefit, and the devil of his soul enticed him with alluring promises and made him willing to put an end to his brother. Then, when he killed him, curses and condemnation began to rain down on him from all sides, for he had killed such a virtuous and compassionate brother without any fault of his. And as for the punishment that awaits him in the Hereafter, that will certainly be meted out to him.
