لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌۢ ﴿120﴾

To Allâh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein, and He is Able to do all things.

At the end of the surah, this conclusion is very appropriate in the context of the refutation of the Christians, that is, He alone is the Sovereign of all things in the heavens and the earth (including humans), and it is His exclusive right that He be worshipped. Whether it is ‘Isa (Jesus) عليه السلام, his mother, or the Holy Spirit, all are His servants, who in no way can be considered partners with Him in divinity.

120. To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is in them. [171] And He has power over all things.

[171] In this verse, there is proof for the rejection of the divinity of Sayyiduna ‘Isa ؑ and Sayyidah Maryam, because that which is owned by someone can be a possession or a slave, but cannot be a partner. Nor can it be considered a partner in the divinity of Allah Almighty.
