Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 7) ➊ {يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللّٰهَ:} By helping Allah is meant helping Allah’s religion and Allah’s friends, because Allah is Self-Sufficient and does not need anyone’s help, as stated in the previous verse: «وَ لَوْ يَشَآءُ اللّٰهُ لَانْتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ » [ محمد : ۴ ] “And if Allah wills, He can surely take retribution from them.” Helping Allah’s religion is done by striving in His path and sacrificing life and wealth, as well as by establishing the proofs and evidences of the true religion over its enemies.
{ يَنْصُرْكُمْ:} Allah’s help comes in two ways: one is that He grants us victory and dominance over our enemies in this world, but sometimes this happens and sometimes it does not. The second is that He grants us the Hereafter, even if at some point in this world we have to face defeat.
{وَ يُثَبِّتْ اَقْدَامَكُمْ:} That is, He will keep you firm upon the religion, will not let you fall into doubt or suspicion, will grant you steadfastness in battle so that the thought of fleeing will never even occur, no matter how numerous the enemies are, and on the Day of Resurrection He will keep your feet firm on the “Sirat” and protect you from slipping and falling into Hell, when all people will be saying {’’ اَللّٰهُمَّ سَلِّمْ سَلِّمْ‘‘} (O Allah! Grant safety, grant safety) [ دیکھیے بخاري: ۶۵۷۳ ]

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

7. 1 By helping Allah is meant helping the religion of Allah, because according to the means, He helps His religion through His believing servants. These believing servants protect the religion of Allah and propagate and invite towards it, so Allah helps them, meaning He grants them victory and dominance over the disbelievers, as is evident from the bright history of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) and the early generations of Muslims. They became devoted to the religion, so Allah became theirs; they made the religion dominant, so Allah made them dominant over the world, as He said in another place: ولینصرن اللہ من ینصرہ۔ الحج۔ Allah will surely help those who help Him. Allah surely helps the one who helps Him.

7. 2 This refers to steadfastness at the time of battle, meaning help and assistance in the places of war. Some say it means being kept steadfast on Islam or on the Bridge of Sirat.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

7. O people! If you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make you steadfast [9].

[9] By helping Allah is meant helping the religion of Allah. That is, those people who strive to establish the religion of Allah. And Allah will certainly help them in jihad and will not let their feet slip. The servant's duty is only to be prepared for the establishment of the religion. Allah will grant him success.
