Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 34) ➊ {وَ يَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا عَلَى النَّارِ … :} After mentioning the reality of the Day of Resurrection with evidence, a scene from that day is presented, that is, remember the day when those who denied the Resurrection and Hell will be presented before the Fire (and it will be said), "Is this not the truth?" The purpose of the question will not be to ask, but to humiliate them and to mock them in return for the mockery they made of Hell and the Resurrection in the world. Along with the punishment of Hell, this reproach, scolding, and sarcasm will itself be a great punishment. Elsewhere it is said: «يَوْمَ يُدَعُّوْنَ اِلٰى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا (13) هٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِيْ كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ (14) اَفَسِحْرٌ هٰذَاۤ اَمْ اَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَ » [ الطور : ۱۳ تا ۱۵ ] "The Day they will be driven toward the Fire of Hell with a violent driving. This is the Fire which you used to deny. Then is this magic, or do you not see?"
{ قَالُوْا بَلٰى وَ رَبِّنَا:} The Hell which they used to deny and mock in the world, now not only will they acknowledge it, but they will swear to its reality, because they will have no other option.
{ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ:} But the acknowledgment and confession at that time will not benefit them at all; rather, it will be said to them that if this is the truth, then taste the punishment for not accepting this truth.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

34. 1 There, they will not only confess but will also swear an oath to emphasize their confession, but at that time this confession is useless because after witnessing, what value does a confession have? After seeing with their own eyes, if they do not confess, will they deny instead?

34. 2 This is because when it was time to believe, they did not believe; this punishment is the recompense for that disbelief, which now you must inevitably endure.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

And on the Day when the disbelievers will be presented before the Fire, (it will be said to them), "Is this (Hell) not the truth [47]?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord, it is the truth." Allah will say, "Then taste the punishment for what you used to deny."

[47] Disbelievers and deniers of the Hereafter deny the Hereafter because if they were to acknowledge it, it would disrupt their freedom. And its example is exactly like a pigeon closing its eyes upon seeing a cat. Even though the pigeon closes its eyes, the cat still remains present there and, in reality, nothing changes. Similarly, the deniers’ rejection of the Hereafter does not actually make any difference, and on the Day of Resurrection, it will be said to them: Now open your eyes and see— is the punishment a solid reality or not, the very thing you used to deny by closing your eyes to it? And on that day, they will have no choice but to admit it.
