Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 16) ➊ Within the context of {اُولٰٓىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنْهُمْ اَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوْا … :}, this meaning is present: that showing kindness to parents, praying for them, asking Allah Almighty for gratitude and the ability to do righteous deeds, and praying for the reform of one's children are among the best deeds of a person, and Allah Almighty has promised that those who perform these deeds, Allah will accept their best deeds and forgive their sins.
{فِيْۤ اَصْحٰبِ الْجَنَّةِ:} is in the circumstantial position from {’’ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ ‘‘}: {’’أَيْ كَائِنِيْنَ فِيْ أَصْحَابِ الْجَنَّةِ‘‘} Along with the acceptance of the best deeds and forgiveness of sins, this is the third reward that they will be included among the companions of Paradise, who are the best companions. Because being included among them is itself a great honor, for which the Prophets (peace be upon them) used to pray, as is the prayer of Solomon (peace be upon him): « وَ اَدْخِلْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِيْ عِبَادِكَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ» [ النمل : ۱۹ ] "And by Your mercy, admit me among Your righteous servants." The prayer of Joseph (peace be upon him) is: «تَوَفَّنِيْ مُسْلِمًا وَّ اَلْحِقْنِيْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَ » [ یوسف : ۱۰۱ ] "Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous." And the last words of our Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of his passing were: [ فِي الرَّفِيْقِ الْأَعْلٰی ] [ بخاري، المغازي، باب مرض النبي صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم و وفاتہ : ۴۴۳۶ ] "Join me with the highest companions." [ اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْھُمْ بِفَضْلِکَ وَ رَحْمَتِکَ ]
{ وَعْدَ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يُوْعَدُوْنَ:} That is, according to that true promise which was made in the Qur'an and Hadith with those who show kindness to parents, and Allah Almighty never breaks His promise.

16. These are the ones from whom We accept the best of what they have done [25] and overlook their misdeeds. They are among the people of Paradise. (This is) the true promise which they were promised.

[25] That is, we will reward all their good deeds according to the best of their good deeds. Even if those deeds are not at the level of the very best ones. And we will completely overlook their mistakes and shortcomings.
